Ghazipur, Aug. 23 -- Umar Ansari, younger son of late UP don Mukhtar Ansari, was transferred from Ghazipur jail to Kasganj jail around 6am today. The shifting was carried out in secrecy with only senior officials aware about it.
Superintendent of Police Dr Iraj Raja confirmed the relocation, citing "security concerns."Ansari was in Ghazipur jail after his arrest on August 3 in a case involving forged signatures. He was picked up by the police from Lucknow for allegedly forging the signature of his mother, Afsa (Afshan) Ansari, who is currently absconding and carries a reward of Rs 1 lakh upon her arrest. She is wanted in a case related to the Gangster Act against Mukhtar Ansari.
