Kyiv, Aug. 16 -- In the aftermath of the presidential meeting between Vladmir Putin and Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he expects an uptick in Russian military attacks in the coming days, "to create a political atmosphere more favourable for Russia".

Offering new battlefield updates, the Ukrainian leader wrote on social media: "Based on the political and diplomatic situation around Ukraine, and knowing Russia's treachery, we anticipate that in the coming days the Russian army may try to increase pressure and strikes against Ukrainian positions in order to create more favourable political circumstances for talks with global actors."
