Moscow, Aug. 14 -- The Ukrainian parliament will likely balk at an agreement that would officially recognize Russia's control over regions that were once held by Ukraine, the Financial Times reported on Thursday, citing lawmakers from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Servant of the People party.
"MPs will not agree to bear responsibility for any agreement which violates our constitution and which might cause for them political problems in the future," one lawmaker told the FT daily.
Another unnamed lawmaker in Zelenskyy's party said they had "learned the lesson" after facing public backlash over a bill that sought to abolish the independence of two anti-corruption agencies and would never agree to vote for a similarly controversial initiat...
