Ankara, Feb. 26 -- Ukraine has handed Turkey a portfolio of reconstruction projects for 2025, with tenders set to be announced in April and May, the Turkiye pro-government newspaper reported on Wednesday, citing Ukrainian officials.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said earlier in the month that Turkish companies were ready to assist Ukraine in addressing the destruction caused by the Ukraine conflict and in rebuilding the country.
The primary focus of the reconstruction plan includes modernizing existing customs checkpoints on highways, constructing new ones and establishing a nationwide toll road system, the newspaper said.
The portfolio also includes projects in energy and energy efficiency, social housing and water supply.
