Kyiv, Aug. 3 -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed two officials over their alleged involvement in corruption schemes related to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) purchases, according to the order published on the Ukrainian president's website.
On Saturday, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) said a lawmaker had been detained on charges of involvement into a corruption scheme, namely overpriced purchases of UAVs and electronic warfare systems for the Ukrainian armed forces.
Ukrainian media reported that Oleksii Kuznetsov from the Servant of the People party, Seri Haidai, former Luhansk (Luhansk) governor and Andrii Yurchanko, who formally occupies the post in the Luhansk Region.
