Moscow, Dec. 15 -- A cornerstone of the Russia-Ukraine peace deal is Kyiv's guarantees towards abandoning its NATO aspirations, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday, calling the issue non-negotiable.
"Naturally, this issue is one of the most important and, of course, it is subject to special discussion compared to the others," he told reporters.
The Kremlin aide's comments follow Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's readiness to abandon Kyiv' bid for NATO membership, provided it receives security guarantees from several individual countries, including the US.
