Moscow, July 1 -- Ukraine imported 535 million cubic meters of gas from the European Union in June, with Hungary and Slovakia accounting for 70% of supplies, Ukrainian media reported.

An average daily gas import from the EU in June increased by about 10% compared to May, the strana.ua news portal reported on Monday. At the same time, the growth in gas imports to Ukraine was ensured by supplies from Slovakia and Hungary, which sell mainly Russian gas.

The report recalled that Ukraine has repeatedly called on EU countries to stop importing Russian energy resources, but at the same time continues to increase purchases from countries that sell Russian gas, among other things.
