Moscow, Aug. 14 -- The Ukrainian authorities have decided to withdraw from the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) agreement on cooperation between participants in the event of evacuation of their citizens from third countries in case of emergency, Taras Melnychuk, Ukrainian government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, said.

"The draft law 'On withdrawal from the agreement on cooperation between the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the event of evacuation of their citizens from third countries in case of an emergency' has been approved," he wrote on Telegram.

The agreement was signed in 1996.
