London, Feb. 16 -- UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is ready to attend an emergency summit of EU leaders scheduled for Monday in Paris, the Telegraph reported.
Earlier, Politico reported, citing Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski and sources, that French President Emmanuel Macron was calling European leaders to an emergency summit in Paris on Monday to discuss the challenges posed by US President Donald Trump.
Starmer is ready to join European Union leaders at an emergency summit on Monday after the United States urged them to offer "ideas" or be sidelined from talks on peace plans for Ukraine, the newspaper said.
The Telegraph also quotes the prime minister as saying that Europe should "take on a greater role in NATO."
