London/Jerusalem, Oct. 3 -- UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer today denounced the deadly assault at a synagogue in Manchester, labelling it a terrorist attack, and pledged to confront the rising wave of antisemitism in Britain and bolster protection for British Jews.

"Earlier today, on Yom Kippur, the holiest day for the Jewish community, a vile individual committed a terrorist attack that attacked Jews because they are Jews, and attacked Britain because of our values," Starmer said after chairing an emergency Cobra meeting in Downing Street, as per BBC.
