Mumbai, Oct. 8 -- UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday for his first official visit to India.
He was welcomed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, and Governor Acharya Devvrat.
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the visit "marks a new chapter in our strong and dynamic India-UK partnership."Starmer is visiting India from October 8-9 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is his first official visit to the country since taking office.
