London/Oslo, Dec. 5 -- The UK and Norway have unveiled a new defence pact that will see their navies jointly operate a warship fleet to "hunt Russian submarines" in the North Atlantic.
The agreement was jointly announced by the two countries, with Norwegian Minister of Defence Tore O Sandvik signing the agreement while meeting his British counterpart John Healey in London yesterday.
Followed up by talks between Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store and the UK premier Keir Starmer at Downing Street, Store hailed the agreement, calling it "a very important agreement on defence cooperation and integration".
