UK Foreign Secretary to announce largest package of Russia sanctions

Washington, Feb. 23 -- UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy said that on Monday he would announce the largest package of sanctions against Russia since the start of the conflict in Ukraine.

"Tomorrow, I plan to announce the largest package of sanctions against Russia since the early days of the war," Lammy said in a statement quoted by Agence France-Presse.

Earlier, the Telegraph newspaper reported, citing a source in the British government, that the UK would announce a new package of aid to Kiev and sanctions against Russia on February 24.
