London, Aug. 2 -- UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy said on Saturday that he felt guilty for having failed to prep Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the talks with US President Donald Trump in February, ultimately contributing to their Oval Office quarrel.
"If I'm being honest, I felt, arrghhh! Why hadn't I done more to support our Ukrainian colleagues in preparation for their meeting? I was being a bit hard on myself. But I still felt guilty," Lammy said in an interview to The Guardian.
After the on-camera fallout, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer called Zelenskyy to invite him to Lonndon, the paper reported.
