London, April 9 -- UK Defence Minister John Healey on Thursday said that Russia will face "serious consequences" if any attempt is made to damage undersea infrastructure.

The warning by the UK Defence Minister came after he highlighted that Britain has deployed its armed forces to deter Russian submarines from attacking its cables and pipelines when they spent around a month in British waters earlier this year.

"To President Putin, I say: we see you. We see your activity over our cables and pipelines. You should know that any attempt to damage them will not be tolerated and will have serious consequences," Healey said, noting that the UK has detected "increased Russian activity in the Atlantic."Speaking at a Downing Street press conferenc...
