Kampala, Feb. 15 -- Uganda Crested Cranes' defender Shadia Nankya has joined the National Women's Super League side in the United States, Washington Spirit FC.
Nankya who also played for the Uganda Crested Cranes at the TotalEnergies CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) 2023 in Morocco, confirmed the development on Friday.
The versatile defender joined Washington Spirit on a two-year contract from Egypt Women's Premier League side, FC Masar.
"I am very happy that finally, I have joined a big team in the top League in the world. I am ready to work hard and help my team achieve its goals," Nankya said.
