Hyderabad, Feb. 7 -- The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), an umbrella body comprising nine unions of officers and employees in the banking sector, on Friday called for a two-day nationwide strike on March 24 and 25 pressing for a host of demands including recruitments and five-day work week.
The nine unions are AIBEA , AIBOC, NCBE, AIBOA, BEFI, INBOC, INBEF, NOBW and NOBO.
UFBU, in a circular to members of all constituent unions, said, ''After due discussions and deliberations, it has been decided to launch our agitational programme culminating in two days continuous strike for 48 Hours on March 24 and 25, 2025.''
