New Delhi, Nov. 29 -- Former MP Dr. Udit Raj has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of getting the Dalit organisation DOMA PariSangh's event at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan cancelled.

Addressing the press on Saturday, Udit Raj said that a rally was to be held at Ramlila Maidan on November 30 to "save the Constitution and the vote", but the BJP got it cancelled.

"We learned of this conspiracy only today," said Udit Raj, National Chairman of the Confederation of Dalit, OBC, Minorities and Aadivasi Organizations (DOMA Parisangh).

He added that permission for the rally was cancelled following a complaint by Shashank Shekhar Tripathi, Coordinator of the BJP Legal Cell in the Kashi region.
