Kozhikode, Dec. 27 -- For the first time in history, UDF won the Kozhikode district panchayat in Kerala. Milli Mohan Kottarathil was elected as the president of the district panchayat.
Mohan was the Congress nominee for the post, having been elected from the Kodenchery division.
UDF's Congress candidate Chandrika Krishnan was elected as the president of the Wayanad district panchayat.
Chandrika, a native of Muttil, is the representative of the Vythiri division in the District PanchayatUDF's Muslim League candidate PA.
