Nagpur, Dec. 13 -- Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) chief Uddhav Thackeray strongly criticized Congress Legislature Party leader Vijay Wadettiwar for reviving the demand for a separate Vidarbha state. Thackeray questioned how many Vidarbha-related issues Wadettiwar had actually raised in the ongoing state assembly session, despite advocating for separation.
Thackeray asserted here on Friday that Vidarbha is an integral part of Maharashtra, and Maharashtra is incomplete without Vidarbha. No one can separate Vidarbha from Maharashtra. He added that those speaking of division should first explain their contribution to resolving Vidarbha's issues in the legislature.
