Mumbai, Aug. 30 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray held a phone conversation with Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange-Patil, extending his support to Patil's demands.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve visited the protest site and connected Thackeray with Jarange-Patil over the phone.
During the conversation, Thackeray reportedly expressed surprise at the large number of Maratha community members who had gathered in Mumbai for the protest and said the Maharashtra government must consider their demands seriously.
