Abu Dhabi, Sept. 15 -- United Arab Emirates produced an allround performance to defeat Oman by 42 runs in the seventh Group A match of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium here today, brightening their prospects of qualifying for the Super Four.
Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Oman made early inroads but failed to sustain pressure as UAE batsmen stitched useful partnerships. Opener Alishan Sharafu anchored the innings with a fluent 51 off 38 balls, striking seven boundaries and a six. Skipper Muhammad Waseem played a measured knock of 69 off 54, holding one end together after Sharafu's dismissal.
