Lucknow, Jan. 1 -- Two young men were killed, and another was injured after their car lost control and fell into a canal near Behta village in the Para area of Lucknow late Wednesday night, police said on Thursday.
The victims were returning from a New Year's celebration when the accident occurred around 11:30 pm. The car reportedly went out of control and fell into the canal.
The deceased were identified as Vinod Yadav, a resident of Paliya Mahigawan who worked as a property dealer, and Arun (22), a resident of Kalli Paschim under the PGI police station limits. The third occupant, Kunwar, sustained minor injuries and is undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital. His condition is stated to be stable.
