Lucknow, April 29 -- Managing Director of the country's leading automobile company Bajaj Auto, Rajiv Bajaj while praising the improvement in road network and law and order in Uttar Pradesh, said that the growth of the two-wheeler industry in the state in the last 12 months has surprised him.
Bajaj has also termed the large number of women driving two-wheelers in the state as a sign of social change. It may be noted that UP has emerged as a major hub for the two-wheeler market in India, especially in the electric vehicle (EV) segment. In 2024, UP secured the second position after Maharashtra by selling 1,57,631 electric two-wheelers, capturing a market share of 15.74 percent.
