Imphal, Jan. 5 -- Two villagers were seriously injured in a twin blast at Nganukon, Phagakchao Ikhai, Bishnupur district, this morning.
Police identified the two persons as Soibam Sanatomba Singh of Saiton Makha Leikai and Nongthombam Indubala Devi of Saiton Haiyaikon Maning Leikai.
Police further said there was an IED blast at an abandoned house of Salam Mani Singh of Ngaukon Ward No. 7/8 under Saiton Gram Panchayat under Phougakchao Ikhai Police Station, Bishnupur District. The said house has been abandoned since May 3, 2023, after the villagers were attacked by a mob and Kuki militants from Churachandpur district.
