Agartala, March 4 -- Two senior citizens from Tripura, Chandan Bhowmik (66) and Ajoy Kumar Saha (60), began their return journey today after completing an extraordinary feat by cycling 5,300 km from Agartala to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu.
Retired Agriculture Officer Chandan Bhowmik and well-known businessman Ajoy Kumar Saha undertook this remarkable expedition with a mission to raise awareness about eco-conservation, responsible use of natural resources, world peace, and societal well-being.
The journey began on January 5 this year and was completed in 56 days, a noteworthy achievement given their age. They covered daily distances ranging from 100 to 220 kilometres.
