Lucknow, April 16 -- A devastating fire broke out on Wednesday in the Vikas Nagar area of Lucknow, claiming the lives of two young children and leaving nearly 250 families homeless, police said on Thursday.
According to police officials, the victims were daughters of Satish, a resident of Kashipurwa village in the Ramsanehi Ghat area of Barabanki district. The deceased have been identified as Shruti, aged around 2 years, and her 2-month-old infant sister. Both children were caught in the blaze and died on the spot.
