Srinagar, Oct. 14 -- Two terrorists are believed to have been killed in a gunbattle along the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir's Kupwara district, official sources said.
They said Army troops deployed in the Kumkadi area of the Machil sector noticed suspicious movement near the LoC last evening.
The infiltrators were challenged, which led to a brief exchange of fire. "Two terrorists are believed to have been neutralised during the encounter," an official said, adding that no bodies have been recovered so far, despite a continuing search operation in the area.
