Chandigarh, Oct. 21 -- Punjab Police today claimed to have averted a possible terror strike after arresting two suspected members of a terror module in Amritsar. A Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) along with a launcher was recovered.
The arrests were made during an intelligence-based operation conducted by the Amritsar Rural Police in coordination with Central agencies, as part of the state government's ongoing campaign to ensure public safety.
According to Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav, the accused identified as Mehakdeep Singh alias Mehak, a resident of Wadali, and Aditya alias Adhi, of village Bhaga Chhina were allegedly in contact with a Pakistan-based Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) operative who sent the weapons via ...
