Jalgaon, May 6 -- Two students in Jalgaon district allegedly committed suicide after the results of the Maharashtra Board Class 12th examination were declared on May 5, police said.

In the first incident reported from Mamurabad, Jalgaon taluka, an 18- year-old student died by suicide after hanging himself in the second floor of his house. He was reportedly under depression for getting less than expected marks in the Class 12th examination, police said.

The deceased student was identified as Rishikesh Dinesh Patil. Rishikesh lived in Mamurabad with his parents, grandmother and elder brother. He had appeared in the Class 12th examination from the science stream.
