Chandigarh, July 31 -- In a tragic incident, two soldiers from Punjab, Lieutenant Colonel Bhanu Pratap Singh from Pathankot and Naik Daljit Singh from Gurdaspur, were martyred in a landslide in Ladakh while on duty. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when a massive rock fell on their military vehicle as they were traveling from Durbuk to Chongtash in a convoy. Their vehicle was severely damaged.
Naik Daljit Singh had served in the Army for nearly 9 years and had been saving to build his dream home. In a tragic twist of fate, the news of his martyrdom reached the family on the very day they finalized a mason for the construction.
