Bareilly, April 29 -- Police have arrested three women, including two real sisters, for allegedly cheating unemployed youths of lakhs of rupees by falsely claiming to be IAS officers and offering fake government jobs.
The accused reportedly issued forged appointment letters and promised placements in government departments.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Pankaj Shrivastava revealed the details today at the Baradari police station. He said that Shikha Pathak, a resident of the Baradari area, first came into contact with Preeti Loyal, after which she developed links with Preeti's sister, Dr. Vipra Sharma, who falsely claimed to be an Additional District Magistrate (Finance) posted in Gajraula.
