Fatehpur, Feb. 18 -- Two young siblings tragically lost their lives after allegedly drowning in an open septic tank in Fatehpur district, police said on Wednesday. The incident occurred in Badanpur village under the Radhanagar police station area.
According to police officials, the victims have been identified as six-year-old Shivanshi and her five-year-old brother Sundaram, children of Rakesh Sharma, a labourer working at a brick kiln in the village. The children were playing near their home on Tuesday evening when they suddenly went missing.
Family members searched for them for several hours. Later in the night, locals discovered the children's bodies floating in a septic tank at a house under construction in the neighbourhood.
