Pratapgarh/Firozabad, Nov. 3 -- A tragic road accident took place in Pratapgarh district today morning when an overloaded truck carrying fertilizer ran over a woman, killing her on the spot.
According to police, the incident occurred around 9:00 am near Bharathipur under Kunda police station limits.
The woman, identified as Kismat-ul (aged around 50), a resident of Kiratpur village, was travelling on a motorcycle when the fertilizer-laden truck crushed her. The motorcyclist narrowly escaped the accident.
Reports state that the deceased's husband had passed away several years ago, and she is survived by four daughters and one son.
Police reached the scene immediately, took possession of the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination....
