Hyderabad, Dec. 3 -- A Hyderabad court on Tuesday sentenced two individuals to seven years of rigorous imprisonment in a housing loan fraud case investigated by the Telangana CID.

The VI Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACJM) Court, Nampally, also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 each on the convicts.

The convicted duo - Vuppula Dasarath Netha (57) and his wife Vuppala Laxmi Bai alias Laxmi Devi (50) - had fraudulently secured a Rs 24 lakh housing loan from the State Bank of Hyderabad's Air Cargo Branch in 2007 by using forged and fabricated documents.
