Pathanamthitta, Jan. 8 -- Two Sabarimala pilgrims lost their lives, and six others sustained injuries in a fatal road accident involving a car and a minivan at Mandiram Padi near Ranni on the Punalur-Muvattupuzha state highway in Kerala on Thursday afternoon.
According to police, the accident occurred around noon when a car carrying devotees from Karnataka, returning from Sabarimala, rammed head-on into a minivan transporting pilgrims from Tamil Nadu.
The force of the collision proved fatal for two occupants of the car, who died on the spot.
