Ghaziabad, Oct. 5 -- A dramatic jailbreak attempt was foiled at Dasna Jail after two policemen tried to free an inmate using a fake court appearance letter.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the local police department, with both constables now arrested and suspended from duty, officials confirmed today.
The incident happened yesterday and according to officials, the two constables, Sachin Kumar and Rahul Kumar, both posted at the Ghaziabad Police Lines, arrived at Dasna Jail yesterday afternoon in a private car. They claimed to have come to take an inmate, Vansh, for a court hearing in Noida. They even presented what appeared to be an official court order for his appearance.
