Jhansi, Nov. 23 -- Shock and panic spread across town today morning after the bodies of two newborns - a boy and a girl - were found in a drain near the famous Lakshmi Temple in the Nagar Kotwali area.
The infants had been wrapped separately in black plastic bags and dumped into the flowing drain.
The horrifying discovery was made by Vrindavan Rayakwar, an employee of the Jal Nigam, who was cleaning the drain near the sewage pumping station (STP) when he noticed a suspicious black polythene bag stuck in the mesh installed inside the drain.
When he tore it open, he found the body of a newborn boy. Alarmed, he immediately informed local Ward 23 Councillor Rahul Kushwaha.
