Sonbhadra (UP), April 3 -- Two hardcore Naxalites were sentenced to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 20,000 each by a local court here on Thursday in a more than 15-year-old murder case in the Kon area of Sonbhadra district in Uttar Pradesh, prosecution sources said here.
Prosecution sources said that on December 3, 2009, Ajay Kumar Paswan, a resident of Brahmori village, had reported at Kon police station that there was firing between two Naxalite groups in the inner forest over levy collection and division of money, in which one Naxalite was reported to have been killed.
