Washim, Oct. 18 -- Two tourists from Myanmar were killed and several others injured in a major road accident on the Samruddhi Expressway near Washim in Maharashtra in the early today, police said. The accident occurred near channel number 232, between Dhava and Jaulka villages, when the driver of a speeding car lost control and crashed into the central divider.
The vehicle, en route from Mumbai to Jagannath Puri, was carrying seven passengers, all foreign nationals from Myanmar visiting India for tourism. The deceased have been identified as Min Aug (33) and Min Chit Aug (13). One person sustained serious injuries, while four others suffered minor wounds.
