Aizawl, Feb. 18 -- Security forces seized 9.298 kilogrammes of methamphetamine tablets at the India-Myanmar border in Zokhawthar, Champhai district, on Monday and apprehended two Myanmar nationals, Assam Rifles said in a press release on Tuesday.

The operation was carried out jointly by Assam Rifles personnel and Mizoram Police officials at Crossing Point-2, a border location locally known as 'Vang Kai' in Zokhawthar. The two arrested individuals were identified as Lalthangvela (28) and Zaithangpuia (26), both residents of Khawmawi village in Myanmar's Chin state.

The Assam Rifles statement said the seized contraband, along with the apprehended individuals, was handed over to the Zokhawthar Police Department for further legal action. Offi...
