Two MPs robbed in broad daylight: Chain snatched near Poland Embassy in Delhi
New Delhi, Aug. 4 -- Two women Members of Parliament -- Lok Sabha MP R. Sudha from Mayiladuthurai and Rajya Sabha MP Rajathi -- were targeted by a chain-snatcher near the Poland Embassy in New Delhi early this morning.
The attack occurred around 6:15 am while the MPs were out for a morning walk.
In her formal complaint to the Union Home Minister, Sudha stated, "A man riding a Scooty with his helmet on and fully covering his face approached us from the opposite direction and snatched my gold chain. I suffered injuries. We cried for help, but he escaped."
The MPs later flagged a Delhi Police patrol vehicle and were advised to file a written complaint at the local police station.
