Kolkata, Oct. 9 -- The Nagrakata police in Jalpaiguri district of north Bengal today arrested two more suspects in connection with the assault on BJP MP Khagen Murmu and party MLA Shankar Ghosh, taking the total number of arrests to four.

The police, during a nightlong search operation, nabbed Sahanur Alam and Tofaen Hossain, both accused of attacking the BJP leaders at Bamondanga in the Nagrakata block while they were distributing relief material to the flood-hit on October 6.

The area was recently flooded, and five people, including a 2-year-old child, had drowned after being swept away in their sleep.
