Hyderabad, May 19 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Investigation Department (CID), Telangana, has made two more arrests in connection with the massive GBR Crypto Coin scam, taking the total number of accused in custody to eight.
The scam, involving over Rs 95 crore, defrauded more than 1,200 unsuspecting investors with promises of high returns through a fraudulent cryptocurrency scheme.
On May 18, 2025, the CID team apprehended Kodavatikanti Sudhakar (42), a resident of A N Colony, Sainikpuri, Secunderabad, and Karnati Ramesh Reddy (49), from Hastinapuram, Vanasthalipuram, Ranga Reddy district.
