Aizawl, Feb. 16 -- The Zo Reunification Organisation (ZORO) and the Joint Hnampual Students' Organisation (JHSO) Aizawl have pledged to stand together against the Indian government's decision to scrap the Free Movement Regime (FMR) and its proposal to erect a fence along the Indo-Myanmar border, ZORO General Secretary L. Ramdinliana Renthlei said on Sunday.

Renthlei stated that both organizations strongly condemned the Centre's move, asserting that it would severely impact the unity of ethnic Mizos residing across the India-Myanmar border. According to him, these actions would not only create further divisions among the Zofate (ethnic Mizos) but also threaten their cultural and historical integrity in the long run.
