Nagpur, Aug. 7 -- The Nagpur tehsil police arrested two men from West Bengal for possessing Rs 1.21 lakh in counterfeit Indian currency during a late-night patrolling, a senior police officer told UNI today.
Police said the arrests were made near Guard Line railway quarters, close to Mayo Hospital, around 12:40 am on Wednesday.
Police acted on a tip-off and detained two suspects matching the given description.
The accused identified as Zaminrul Hussain Lokman Sheikh Hussain (27), resident of Kabrej Tola, Sadipur, Malda district, and Azimtanu Sheikh (29), resident of Dulalganj, Kali Chowk, Malda district, West Bengal.
A search of their belongings led to the recovery of 243 counterfeit Rs 500 notes, totalling Rs 1,21,500 were found neatly ...
