Shimla, Dec. 15 -- A ragging incident at Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, has led to strict disciplinary action against senior students, once again bringing the issue of campus discipline into focus. Two senior MBBS students have been rusticated for three months and fined Rs 25,000 each, while six others have been issued disciplinary notices for their alleged involvement in the incident.
According to sources, the incident took place around three days ago when a junior MBBS student was allegedly called to a hostel late at night by second-year students and subjected to ragging.
