Chandrapur, Dec. 28 -- Two labourers engaged in bamboo cutting were killed in separate tiger attacks on Sunday in the buffer zone of the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, triggering fear among local residents and workers, officials said.
The victims have been identified as Budasing Shyamlal Madavi (41) and Prem Singh Dukhi Ude (55), both natives of Balaghat district in Madhya Pradesh(MP).
The labourers had been deployed by the forest department for bamboo-cutting work in the buffer area.
According to forest officials, the first incident occurred in beat number 381 of the Mamal range, where Madavi was attacked and killed while working in the forest. About 45 minutes later, another labourer, Ude, was attacked and killed by a tiger in beat numb...
