Two killed in fire accident in congested building
Bengaluru, Aug. 16 -- A fire accident broke out in the early hours today in a densely congested locality of the city.
According to Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemant Singh, fire tenders, senior fire officers, and police personnel rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information. The fire, though brought under control, left the building enveloped in thick smoke and extreme heat, making it difficult for the rescue teams to access one of the flats that remains unreachable.
"As of now, two deaths have been reported. The badly charred bodies have been shifted to the mortuary. Our teams are making every effort to enter the inaccessible flat as well," Singh said.
