Islamabad, June 29 -- At least two people were killed and five others injured when a blast occurred at a scrap warehouse in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, official sources today said.
The explosion took place on Saturday evening in the Lower Dir district of the province due to old explosive ordnance in the scrap shop, the sources said.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital, where two of them were stated to be in critical condition, the sources added.
Local police and the bomb disposal squad reached the site, following the incident, and recovered a hand grenade from the shop, the sources added.
